Ryan Wiramidjaja is an Indonesian-American freelance photojournalist & documentary photographer based in Washington, D.C., whose work has been published by NPR, The Wall Street Journal, The Baltimore Banner, and various International publications. He graduated from Temple University in 2021 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. During his final year in school, Ryan decided to pursue a career in photojournalism.
After graduating, Ryan has participated in the 2023 Mountain Photo Workshop in Kentucky and the 2026 Missouri Photo Workshop, where he helped document the towns of Paris, Kentucky, and Maryville, Missouri. Since then, Ryan has been taking on assignments in the D.C. area, covering local issues and breaking news in the nation's capital region
Ryan's main interests focus on sustainability and conservation, and he hopes to center his photography around these themes in the future.
